Tom Brady is behind the mic for the first time in an NFL game as the Cleveland Browns host the Dallas Cowboys on FOX.

The legendary quarterback hung up the spikes following the 2022 season and signed a 10-year, $325 million deal to become FOX’s No. 1 color commentator alongside lead play-by-play man Kevin Burkhardt. His first assignment wasn’t until Sunday as he took the 2023 season to prepare for his new gig.

The 7-time Super Bowl champion and future Hall of Famer was renowed for his attention to detail and elite work ethic as a player, elements he applied in the lead up to his broadcast debut.

With Tony Romo seamlessly transitioning to the booth for CBS, FOX was hoping for the same thing to happen with Brady. But in his initial appearence, the rookie announcer seems as if he’ll need more reps to iron out some of his flaws.
