Tom Brady holds high praise for Shedeur Sanders in new NIL Deal
Tom Brady knows talent. He also knows how to brand. And somewhere in the middle resides a player with Shedeur Sanders thanks to his rich family history.
Brady announced Thursday that he had agreed to a partnership with Jackson State quarterback through his sports apparel brand, BRADY. The 7-time Super Bowl winner didn’t stop there. He also praised the Tigers’ starter for his work ethic and play style, both tools that factored into the NIL deal.
“Shedeur Sanders is the perfect ambassador for BRADY,” the seven-time Super Bowl champion said in an interview with PEOPLE Magazine. “He embodies everything we look for in a BRADY athlete and his character and values align perfectly with our brand.”
The son of Hall of Fame defensive back and current Jackson State head coach Deion Sanders, Shedeur Sanders has begun to make a legacy of his own. The recruiting world turned upside down when Sanders decommitted from Florida Atlantic in favor of playing for his father in Jackson, MS.

So far, Sanders has come as advertised. In his 2 seasons as a starter, Sanders has thrown for 4,944 yards and 47 touchdowns against 10 interceptions. He’s also scored 5 touchdowns on the ground off 135 carries.
“Not only is he an exceptional football player and quarterback but he is one of the most influential players of his generation, and we’re thrilled that he’s officially joining the BRADY family,” Brady said.
Sanders is 1 of the top names in terms of NIL deals currently in college football. According to On3’s NIL 100 list, Sanders ranks 14th overall with a valuation of $1.2 million.
Sanders said that this NIL was more than just a paycheck as he’ll be able to work exclusively with the GOAT.
“I’m so excited to work with the Brady team,” Sanders said in at statement published by Boardroom. “Tom has been a longtime mentor to me both on and off the field, and I’ve been a fan of his apparel brand since its inception, so this partnership feels like a natural next step. I couldn’t be more grateful and excited to join the list of world-class athletes that represent the brand.
