Tom Brady was a major taking point around the sporting world over the past few weeks, as the NFL legend missed 11 days of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers training camp but returned on Monday. Bucs head coach Todd Bowles told the media that Brady’s absence was “prearranged”.

That being said, with the 7-time Super Bowl-winning QB and future 1st-ballot Hall of Famer’s time away from the team turning out to be longer than expected, several theories, some farfetched and some more feasible, arose. One, as reported by Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, among others, was that Brady was set to be a part of the next season of FOX’s “The Masked Singer”, currently filming in Los Angeles.

Well, Brady poured water on that theory on Monday evening and did so in a rather humorous fashion, as you can see by his tweet below (while promoting some merchandise):

For the record, Brady was reportedly in the Bahamas during his time away. That probably won’t stop fans from imagining the quarterback donning a bizarre costume and singing in front of a national television audience, though.
