Tampa Tom will be a nickname that sticks for just a little bit longer.

Friday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that Tom Brady has agreed to a contract extension that will keep him with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers through at least the 2022 season. The legendary quarterback led the franchise to a Super Bowl LV title in just his first year, also winning the seventh championship of his career.

Per Schefter’s report, Brady and the Bucs agreed to a four-year contract extension that “voids to a one-year extension that locks him into Tampa through the 2022 season.”

Brady, 43, just completed his 21 season in the league. He won six Super Bowl titles while with the New England Patriots and has won one in his only season with Tampa Bay. He’s played in 10 total.

Even though Brady is approaching 45 years of age, he doesn’t have any plans to leave soon, it would appear.
