Tom Brady has dominated the NFL for two decades now, but on Saturday night, the six-time Super Bowl champion looked pretty pedestrian in New England’s 20-13 loss to Tennessee in the AFC Wild Card round of the NFL Playoffs.

Brady finished the night completing 20-of-37 pass attempts for 209 yards and an interception. The game essentially ended when Logan Ryan registered a nine-yard pick-six off of Brady, giving boosting the Titans’ lead to 20-13 with just nine seconds left in the game. After the lackluster performance from the 42-year-old quarterback, there were some questions about his future.

In the postgame press conference, Brady said he was “unlikely to retire” during the offseason, but didn’t exactly take it off the table.

“Who knows what the future holds?” Brady said after the loss, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter. “We’ll leave it at that.”

Brady has been somewhat of a marvel recently, leading the Patriots to three-straight Super Bowl appearances, winning two of those. Until this year, he’s really shown no signs of slowing down, but with New England’s failure to reach the divisional round of the playoffs, the questions surfaced.

Even though Brady says it’s unlikely he’ll retire, he didn’t completely close the door on that thought. It will be interesting if he does decide to hang it up at some point in the coming weeks, or if he takes one more shot to leave the league on a high note.
