Tom Brady will be punished for his behavior in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Week 5 game over the Atlanta Falcons.

The NFL announced on Friday afternoon that Brady will be fined more than $11,000, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The punishment comes after Brady kicked Falcons’ defensive lineman Grady Jarrett following a sack.

The moment between Brady and Jarrett went down in the fourth quarter with the Bucs up 21-15, resulting in a huge controversial roughing the passer penalty from Jarrett. When Jarrett got up off the ground, Brady was seen kicking Jarrett. But, it’s still unclear whether there was contact from Brady.

The kick by Brady has certainly gained attention on social media, drawing the NFL to in part give a punishment to veteran quarterback in his 23rd NFL season.

Along with Brady’s hefty fine, Jarrett’s will be a tad bit more at $15,000 for rouging the passer. Maybe this is a step in potentially a good direction to hold players responsible for their actions on the field.

We will certainly see if this changes how Brady plays in the Week 6 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
