Is the NFL really back if we’re not talking about a great Tom Brady stat?

When he takes the field Thursday night, Brady will become the first player in NFL history to start 300 games, per ESPN.

He already has more Super Bowl victories than any other quarterback, winning his sixth ring in February for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Brady, who turned 44 in August, set another record with that Super Bowl win, beating Brett Favre’s previous mark of 298 career starts in the effort. He’s entering his second year in Tampa Bay after 19 years with the New England Patriots, who drafted him out of Michigan in the 6th round of the 2000 NFL Draft.

It sure is getting harder to avoid calling him the GOAT, isn’t it?

The Buccaneers will open the 2020-21 NFL season against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football at 7:20 p.m. CT on NBC.
