Tom Brady trolled by Eli Manning over losses to Manning brothers: 'He must hate my mom'
Tom Brady was Super Man as the New England Patriots quarterback, but Eli Manning appeared to be his kryptonite. The GOAT memorably lost 2 Super Bowls to Manning’s New York Giants, including the lone outcome that ruined what could have been a 19-0 perfect season in 2007.
Manning recently appeared on “Games with Names,” the podcast of former Brady teammate Julian Edelman. Manning put aside sibling rivalry to zing Brady.
“[Tom Brady] hates us (Eli and Peyton Manning). He hates my mom,” Eli joked on the podcast. “If it weren’t for Olivia Manning, Tom would have like 12 Super Bowls probably.”
Peyton Manning spent his whole career in the AFC, the same conference as Brady’s Patriots. Peyton made 4 Super Bowl appearances during his NFL career (2007, 2010, 2014 and 2016). Brady’s NFL career began in 2000.
Brady, of course, has been incredibly successful himself despite the Mannings’ success. The Michigan alum has won 7 Super Bowls (6 with the Patriots, 1 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers) during his NFL career.
Manning, also, was just teasing. Brady appeared on the “ManningCast,” the brothers’ alternate “Monday Night Football” broadcast on ESPN2, this past season.
