Trouble for Michigan? Richmond's win puts additional heat on Wolverines on Selection Sunday
Well, Michigan’s Selection Sunday just got even more interesting.
Richmond defeated Davidson in the Atlantic 10 Championship Game on Sunday afternoon 64-62. The Spiders have stolen a bid to the NCAA Tournament over one bubble team. It could be Michigan.
Michigan’s poor performance in the B1G Tournament didn’t help its tournament cause. The Wolverines blew a 17-point lead in the second round to Indiana, but they were still expected to be in the Field of 68.
Now, it’s a little more uncertain. Here’s what media and fans had to say following Richmond’s victory:
Richmond in. From our bracket that would mean Wyoming out. And someone, maybe Indiana or Michigan, would slide back to First Four. Richmond as the AQ from A10 can’t play in First Four.

Richmond win over Davidson would… turn up the heat for Michigan watching the selection show this evening. Davidson is likely in as an at-large, even with a loss. Spiders trail by just 1 at halftime. #NCAATournament

Aaaaaaand Richmond might've just knocked Michigan out of the tournament. We'll see.

If Richmond holds on does that mean no dancing for Michigan?

Smh. Richmond wins, and now I'm sweating a bit more as a Michigan fan.

I don't think Michigan is alone in this Richmond-aided stress….
But three hours before the pairings are announced…NOT GREAT, PAWWWWLLL…

Michigan is on the bubble with a 17-14 record and an 11-9 mark in the B1G. Before Richmond’s victory, ESPN’s Joe Lunardi had the Wolverines listed as a 12 seed in a play-in game.
How much does Richmond’s win change things? We’ll find out Sunday night at 6 p.m. ET.
