You know it probably pains Urban Meyer to pay any compliments to Michigan. Even as an analyst, the former Ohio State head coach refuses to call the school by its name.

But last Saturday, it was hard to ignore how good the Wolverines offense looked. With essentially an entirely new offensive line, young targets at wide receiver and a new quarterback in Joe Milton, nobody expected U-M to put 49 points on Minnesota.

There was one “perfect play” that Meyer spotted during Michigan’s win from the weekend. It was drawn up beautifully, executed flawlessly and nearly resulted in a Wolverines touchdown. In a segment of “Urban Analysis,” the former head coach one play from the Week 1 game that he calls “the perfect play.”

Will we see more of that this weekend? Michigan is set to take on Michigan State on Saturday for the Paul Bunyan Trophy. The Wolverines are 1-0 and the Spartans are 0-1.

If U-M’s offense looks as good as it did against Minnesota, it may not have much trouble with its in-state rival.
