Vanderbilt the landing spot for ex-Michigan offensive lineman
A former Michigan offensive lineman has named his next destination.
Stephen Spanellis has announced that he will finish his college football career at Vanderbilt. He spent four seasons at Michigan before opting to enter the transfer portal. He will have one year of eligibility remaining.
As a graduate transfer, Spanellis will be immediately eligible for the 2020 season. He made his announcement with a post on his Instagram account.
“Couldn’t be more excited to be starting my next chapter in Nashville this Summer,” Spanellis wrote.
Spanellis redshirted his first season at Michigan in 2016. In the following three seasons, he made appearances in 36 games, most of which came on special teams. He was used as an offensive lineman in a handful of games throughout his career.
Vanderbilt finished the 2019 season with a 3-9 record.
