With the cancelation of Saturday’s game with Ohio State, Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh is not only looking at a possible end of the 2020 season, but speculation has been rampant about his future in Ann Arbor.

The less than successful season for the Wolverines, coupled with numerous opportunities in the NFL, has escalated the speculation and chatter about Harbaugh’s possible departure from his alma mater.

The Wolverines do have some options when it comes to Harbaugh’s future, including waiting until next year to extend his contract. Of course, they could move on from the sixth-year coach or leave it to him to choose. Harbaugh has been linked to a potential return to the NFL, but he has declined to comment on that.

After news of the cancelation, Michigan Athletic Director, Warde Manuel said, “we will meet at the end of the year to discuss the program.” Manuel said he won’t get into contract extension rumors.

According to Harbaugh, “Warde and I have for months long we’ll talk about the extension at the end of the season.”

Now the question – is that now?
