Everyone is fired up for Michigan and Notre Dame to renew their rivalry on the football field on Saturday. That includes legends who used to sport the maize and blue in their college years.

All eyes will be on the Wolverines and the Irish on Saturday night, a pair of top 15 teams battling for a major victory early in the season. And former Michigan standout and 1997 Heisman Trophy winner Charles Woodson couldn’t be more fired up about it.

Woodson posted a brief video from the Heisman House, wishing his former team good luck and putting a huge emphasis on “Go Blue!” at the end.

Woodson is still closely tied with the program and shows his support for Michigan frequently. Recently, new quarterback Shea Patterson asked if he could wear Woodson’s No. 2 jersey for the 2018 season, a request the Heisman winner approved.

No. 14 Michigan and No. 12 Notre Dame will square off on Saturday night in South Bend. The two teams have not met on the field since 2014.
