Chase Winovich never fails to disappoint.

The ex-Wolverines star is off and running in the NFL following his second preseason game. Sure, it’s still the preseason, but he has been plenty impressive. Winovich finished Saturday’s game with six tackles, a sack, and two TFL. He also turned in the press conference appearance of the night.

After the game, Winovich was asked about his high motor on the field. He proceeded to explain that his playing hard actually comes from a promise his grandmother gave him when he was younger:

“Ever since high school, my grandma has been promising me: If I played hard and didn’t get hurt, she’s been promising me $5 and a chocolate bar,” said Winovich.

Honestly, it is hard to tell if Winovich is pulling our chain or being stone-cold serious. After all, who couldn’t use $5 and a little bit of candy?
