It’s been a back-and-forth contest between Michigan and Texas Tech in Omaha. Thanks to a big two-out double from Jesse Franklin, the Wolverines have a little bit of breathing room.

In the bottom of the 3rd, Franklin cranked a two RBI double, bumping Michigan’s 4-3 lead to a 6-3 advantage. With two outs and the bases loaded, Franklin cracked the ball into left field to score the two runners.

Michigan started the game with a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st inning, but relinquished the lead to Texas Tech, which scored three unanswered runs. But the Wolverines have battled back in the 2nd and 3rd innings to regain the lead.

The Wolverines are hoping to lock up a trip to the College World Series championship with a win over Texas Tech. Michigan is 2-0.
