WATCH: Jim Harbaugh explains the feeling of becoming a first-time grandfather
Jim Harbaugh’s press conferences are usually pretty matter-of-fact. His answers are usually short and he doesn’t elaborate much in his responses.
But on Monday, we saw a little bit of the softer side of the Michigan head coach. He still didn’t provide a long-winded answer, but when asked about becoming a first-time grandfather, Harbaugh couldn’t help but smile.
“When it happens, and you’re right there and you’re a grandfather and you look at your grandson, it does not get much better than that. I can tell you that,” Harbaugh said.
Harbaugh’s son, Jay Harbaugh, became a father just before the weekend. It was the first grandchild of the Michigan head coach.
Harbaugh, himself, has seven children.
The clip of Harbaugh discussing the feeling of becoming a grandfather wasn’t terribly long, but it does show that he does have that softer side.
Jim Harbaugh recently became a grandfather.
Like every grandfather before him, he was overjoyed when he met his grandson.
