Not many athletes have the opportunity to make a professional career out of their particular sport. When it’s all said-and-done, Shea Patterson may have a chance to play both Major League Baseball and in the National Football League.

In early June, Patterson, who recently transferred from Ole Miss to Michigan, was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 39th round of the 2018 MLB Draft. His head coach, Jim Harbaugh, thought that was a pretty incredible feat.

At B1G Media Days on Monday, Harbaugh was asked about Patterson getting drafted, to which he complimented his quarterback greatly, saying “it’s pretty cool.”

“I was happy or him,” Harbaugh said. “I congratulated him…it’s cool. You don’t want to hold a guy back from that. I wish I was good enough to do that.”

Here’s the full clip of Harbaugh praising Patterson’s athleticism, as well as discussing some of the top two-sport athletes to play football and baseball.
