Michigan-Ohio State isn’t like most college football rivalries. It’s one of the most intense games and atmospheres in sports. There’s a reason it’s known as “The Game.”
Following the 31-20 Ohio State victory, Michigan quarterback John O’Korn was very emotional in the post-game press conference. It was symbolic of what this rivalry stands for and just how important it is to everyone involved.
“The hardest part for me is, you come here to win this game and our senior class wasn’t able to do it,” O’Korn said, fighting back tears. “I hold myself responsible for a lot of that. It sucks. I can’t imagine a worse feeling right now.
O’Korn was able to lead the Wolverines to a 14-0 lead early in the game, but the Buckeyes overpowered Michigan the rest of the way and were able to record their sixth straight win in the series.
For the game, O’Korn finished with 195 yards and a touchdown on 17-of-32 passes.
Here’s the full clip from O’Korn as he talked about the loss to Ohio State.
