There aren’t many people who have been around college football longer than Lee Corso. As a player, coach and analyst, the lovable College GameDay personality has spent years around the game.
So when he gives an opinion on something, people tend to listen. That’s exactly what local media did in South Bend on Friday.
Corso was in town with the rest of the College GameDay crew, setting up shop as the pre-game show is in town for the marquee rivalry bout between No. 14 Michigan and No. 12 Notre Dame on Saturday night.
Asked his opinion of what to watch for on Saturday, Corso said he believes it’ll be a defensive game between the Wolverines and Fighting Irish.
“The only way Notre Dame has a chance to win this game is to match the intensity of the Michigan defense,” Corso said.
Corso hasn’t made his official pick just yet and fans will have to wait until 11:59 a.m. on Saturday to hear whether he’s taking Michigan or Notre Dame. But it sounds like he might be leaning towards the Wolverines right now.
