Teammates almost always have each other’s back during the course of a season. Picking one another up during a tough situation is what football is all about.

But Michigan kicker Quinn Nordin may not be getting much support from his teammates. At least not after a horrendous miss in Saturday’s game against Michigan State.

After getting the Wolverines in field goal range, the offense couldn’t reach the end zone, but trotted off the field with confidence, believing they’d done enough to get a 10-0 lead over the Spartans in the first half.

That confidence was gone fast. Nordin missed a 36-yard field goal attempt, keeping the score at 7-0 in favor of Michigan. And as you can see below, the smiles from Shea Patterson and other Wolverines disappeared quickly after the failed kick.

Teammates were probably supportive of Nordin when he returned to the sideline. But at that moment, it doesn’t seem like many Wolverines were too pleased with the kicker.

Michigan had a 7-0 lead on Michigan State at halftime.
