WATCH: Michigan QB Shea Patterson got a bit lucky with this TD throw
Not everything goes your way in an entire football game.
Even teams that win 77-0 can find something that didn’t get perfectly.
Michigan isn’t thrashing Maryland at all — the game is quite close at 17-7 going into the third quarter. But on this throw from QB Shea Patterson in the second quarter, luck went Michigan’s way.
As you can tell from the video below, Patterson didn’t exactly look off a defender here and the player made a perfect break on the pass attempted. The defender, however, slipped a bit, leaving just enough time for the Ole Miss transfer to fit the ball in perfectly for a TD pass:

Again, nothing goes perfectly, but a little bit of luck can go a long way.
