Maybe all Michigan needed was the halftime break.

Following a first half against Notre Dame that concluded with a 21-10 deficit, the No. 14-ranked Wolverines needed a lift to get them back in the game against the No. 12 team in the country. Not even two minutes into the second half came a momentum booster.

Brandon Watson, a Michigan defensive back, picked off a Notre Dame pass and returned it into Fighting Irish territory.

Notre Dame QB Brandon Wimbush isn’t known for his fantastic accuracy, but a legitimate pass-rush was also part to thank for Watson’s INT.

Michigan’s defense began the second half by making a play. Now it’s time for the offense to follow with a play of its own.

The Michigan-Notre Dame game can be watched on NBC.
