It took a few minutes to get into a rhythm, but Michigan has reached the end zone in 2019.
Michigan’s offense took a few lumps out of the gate, fumbling on the opening possession and then settling for a field goal later in the quarter. But with time winding down in the opening period, Shea Patterson launched a pass deep down the field to a wide open Tarik Black, marking the first touchdown of the season for the Wolverines.
The pass was officially recorded as a 36-yard touchdown strike from Patterson to Black.

Seeing Black get into the end zone is a great sign for the Wolverines. Over the last two years, he’s battled injuries that kept him on the sidelines for a good chunk of the seasons.
He’s been anticipated to be one of the top receivers in the room, but hasn’t had the chance to show his ability much over the last two years.
Black is off to a great start in and the Wolverines are finally on the board.
