WATCH: Streak is over as Michigan records first WR TD reception in 364 days
The curse is broken for Michigan’s WR unit!
After going 364 days without a touchdown catch by a WR, the Wolverines offense used a beautiful deep ball to break the unfortunate streak. QB Shea Patterson threw an unbelievable dime to WR Nico Collins for the 44-yard score.
Collins ran a nice route and torched the Broncos’ secondary, but it was the throw from Patterson that made it happen. It is the first touchdown reception for a Michigan WR since the Wolverines played Cincinnati on Sept. 9 last season.
Michigan on BTN shared the video of the streak-busting score:
WR TD ALERT! WR TD ALERT! WR TD ALERT! And @umichfootball is rolling.
