Not every play goes as planned. Just ask Aidan Hutchinson.

The freshman DE for the Wolverines has already seen plenty of action and has eight tackles and a TFL to his credit this season. A former four-star prospect and the No. 1 overall player from the state of Michigan for the 2018 class according to 247 Sports likely has a bright future ahead of him. However, his first ever play at Michigan did not go so great.

In an interview Tuesday, Hutchinson explained that he never got the call before his first snap against Notre Dame. He rushed out onto the field in a hurry to replace Rashan Gary but didn’t get the defensive call in time.
