Michigan got some more big news on the recruiting trail ahead of the Early Signing Period.

Nate Marshall has decided that Ann Arbor is his future home after all. The blue-chip defensive lineman verbally pledged to the Wolverines on April 22. In August, he flipped his commitment from UM to AU. On Tuesday, he flipped back to Michigan.

Out of Oak Park (Illinois) Fenwick High School, Marshall is listed as measuring 6-4 and 265 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Marshall is rated 4-stars, the No. 3 player in the state of Illinois, No. 8 defensive lineman and No. 55 prospect overall in the Class of 2025.

Marshall picked up scholarship offers from 26 programs during his recruitment. In addition to Michigan and Auburn, other programs to show interest included Alabama, Arkansas, Miami, Michigan State, Mizzou, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, USC and Wisconsin. The Longhorns were able to bring in Marshall for a recent campus visit.

The loss of Marshall won’t sting too bad for Auburn. Hugh Freeze’s staff still has 25 players verbally pledged for the No. 5 class in the nation, according to the Composite.

Michigan, meanwhile, now has 21 verbal commitments on board. Sherrone Moore’s staff has the No. 7 class in the country on the Composite.
