Seven years into his tenure at Michigan, Jim Harbaugh finally has his championship.
Saturday night, Michigan posted a convincing 42-3 victory over Iowa in the B1G Championship Game, giving the Wolverines their first conference title in nearly two decades and the first of Harbaugh’s coaching career in Ann Arbor. It also means the Wolverine will be headed to the College Football Playoff.
Michigan dominated the game from start to finish, jumping out to a 14-0 lead early and taking a 14-3 advantage into the locker room at halftime. But the floodgates opening in the second half.
The Wolverines scored 28 unanswered points in the final 30 minutes to leave no doubt at Lucas Oil Stadium. It was a dominant performance in all facets.
After the game, Harbaugh met with reporters to talk about his first B1G title, the team’s performance and what makes this Michigan team so special. Here’s what he had to say.

Jim Harbaugh says it was Aidan Hutchinson who suggested dedicating the game to Oxford shooting victim Tate Myre. Late in the game, the team looked at the scoreboard and realized they had 42 points. “God works in mysterious ways,” Hutchinson said.

Jim Harbaugh on Tate Myre: "Tate was a warrior, football player, wrestler, best athlete in the school. … Could have easily made it out of that school and been the first one out. But he was — while people were running away from that fire, he was running into it. He's a hero."
