What Jim Harbaugh said after Michigan's big win over Minnesota
Despite some concerns on the offensive side of the football heading into the season opener, Michigan looked like a veteran team against Minnesota on Saturday night.
The Wolverines were dominant on both sides of the football on Saturday night, taking down the rival Gophers 49-24 to retain the Little Brown Jug. It was a balanced offensive performance for Michigan, which totaled 253 yards on the ground and 225 yards through the air.
Michigan’s defense was also stellar, shutting down Minnesota’s rushing attack and holding the Gophers to just 129 yards on the ground. The front line was also to get into the backfield quite often and either sack or get pressure on Tanner Morgan.
Head coach Jim Harbaugh was pleased with his team’s performance on Saturday. The Wolverines start the season 1-0 heading into a rivalry game with Michigan State next weekend.
Here’s what Harbaugh said after the win:
Harbaugh: “Our backs, all of them played really well. I don’t know who all scored touchdowns. It seemed like a lot of them.”
