What Jim Harbaugh said after Michigan's loss to Georgia in the Orange Bowl
Friday’s performance in the Orange Bowl wasn’t exactly what Jim Harbaugh and Michigan had in mind. Entering the College Football Playoff semifinal game with a 12-1 record, the game against Georgia was expected to be one of the more interesting contests of the postseason.
The Bulldogs dominated from start to finish, though, cruising to a 34-11 victory in Miami. Michigan didn’t reach the end zone until late in the fourth quarter, with JJ McCarthy connecting with Andrel Anthony for a 35-yard touchdown pass.
Michigan closes out the season with a 12-2 record, a win over Ohio State and a B1G title. No, Friday’s showing wasn’t how the Wolverines wanted to go out, but there’s still plenty to reflect on after a strong season.
After Michigan’s loss, Jim Harbaugh talked about the team’s performance and reflected on a successful 2021 season. Here’s what he ahd to say:
Jim Harbaugh: "It was a great season. To me, it's one of the best seasons in Michigan football history. We were trying to make it greater tonight, but still a great season.
"It's still a beginning for this team."
