Will Johnson is expected to miss Michigan’s upcoming game against Indiana, according to a report.

That news was shared by ESPN’s Pete Thamel on Friday afternoon. Johnson is dealing with a lower-body injury which he suffered in Michigan’s loss to Illinois back on Oct. 19.

This will mark the third consecutive game that Johnson has missed due to the injury:

Johnson is a tremendous loss for the Wolverines. A preseason All-American cornerback, Johnson is regarded as one of the top defensive backs in the country. Even with the missed time, he’s expected to be a first-round pick in next year’s NFL Draft.

To make matters worse for Michigan, its other starting quarterback Jyaire Hill is also questionable for this weekend’s game against Indiana.

Facing a 9-0 Indiana team could prove to be a tough task for Michigan in even the best of circumstances, let alone with a shorthanded secondary. Indiana quarterback Kurtis Rourke leads the Big Ten in passer efficiency rating by a wide margin so far this season.

Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon.
