Saturday’s matchup between Western Michigan and Michigan in Ann Arbor will be a homecoming of sorts for one Broncos receiver.

Drake Harris was at Michigan for four years before heading to Western Michigan as a graduate transfer. He announced his decision to leave the Wolverines in November of 2017.

Now, Harris returns to Ann Arbor where he’ll be reunited with former friends and teammates who will be standing on the sideline across the field.

“I’m just excited to be able to play in the Big House again,” Harris told Patrick Nothaft of Mlive.com. “I’m going to be playing against a lot of my former teammates and former coaches, so it’ll be fun.

“It’s like going back to grade school when you’re playing against your friends out there. I’m just excited mostly and looking to build on what we did last week as an offense.”

Western Michigan is coming off a Week 1 loss to Syracuse, but the Broncos were exciting offensively in the 55-42 defeat. Harris caught one pass for 12 yards in the contest.

Harris played three seasons with the Wolverines, making nine receptions for 60 yards in his career.

You can bet he’ll want to make a few catches on Saturday against some of his old friends and teammates.
