Jim Harbaugh has taken a new approach with his coaching staff entering the 2021 season. The head coach, entering his seventh season at Michigan, will have a much younger group of assistants this year.
Michigan’s official Twitter account recently provided a look at the new staff in Ann Arbor. The average age of the assistants? Just over 35 years old. All 10 staff members are also under the age of 40.
There’s no question Harbaugh is bringing fresh energy and enthusiasm to the sidelines, as well as to the recruiting trail. Hope also exists that this new-look staff will also produce better results on the field quickly.

Michigan needed some sort of change on the sideline after a 2-4 year in 2020. It was the first losing season of the Harbaugh era in Ann Arbor.
Will this youth movement result in more wins? End an eight-game losing streak to Ohio State? We’ll have to wait a few months to find out.
