One young prospect announced his decision to reopen his recruitment on Tuesday.

Jah’von Grigsby, a safety out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, put out a statement on Twitter to indicate that he is decommitting from the Spartans. Grigsby had initially committed to Michigan State back in September.

According to the 247 Sports Composite, Grigsby is the No. 20 player out of the state of Louisiana for 2021. He also has Auburn, Arkansas State, Houston, and Indiana listed on his team list for consideration.

The timing of Grigsby’s decommitment is a bit odd, considering the big win by the Spartans over the weekend. He did not indicate what led to this decision, so it will be interesting to see where he winds up moving forward.
