While Michigan State might of lost to Notre Dame Saturday night, at least it won on the recruiting trail.

On Saturday, 4-star quarterback Dwan Mathis announced he has committed to the Spartans.

Mathis is a strong-armed, smooth-operating dual-threat quarterback for Oak Park (Mich.) High School. He committed to Iowa State last winter, and then reopened his recruitment and received an offer from Michigan State last July.

Mathis is just the second commit in the class of 2020 for the Spartans, joining fellow in-state four-star prospect, Spencer Brown, an offensive tackle from Walled Lake Western.
