After a disappointing 2022 campaign, Michigan State is in good standing for the defensive side of the ball for 2023. Over the weekend, sack leader Jacoby Windmon announced his decision to return. Now, the Spartans return another solid pass rusher and run defender in Aaron Brule.

Brule transferred to Michigan State from Mississippi State ahead of the 2022 season and found his way into a prominent role on the team. He finished with 4 sacks, second behind Windmon on the Spartans.

“I look forward to preparing for war and winning a championship for this program with the guys in this locker room,” Brule said. “I am willing to do whatever it takes. God will handle the rest.”

With the key returners, Mel Tucker looks to get his program back on track after a step back this past season.
