Aidan Chiles and Nick Marsh just sent a jolt through Michigan State in the Week 2 game against Maryland.

Facing the Terps in the first Big Ten game of the season, the Spartans have been hampered by some miscues from Chiles. However, he has been able to shake off the mistakes every time, and Chiles came up with the massive play when Michigan State needed it.

Late in the fourth quarter, Chiles dialed up a home run ball for the true freshman wideout who got behind the Terrapin defense. A trio of Maryland defenders was in hot pursuit of Marsh, but his runaway speed was too much as he torched the defense for the 77-yard score.

The extra point tied things up at 24-all after the first career touchdown for Marsh:

Michigan State has since forced a quick punt by Maryland, so Chiles will get his shot at a game-winning drive in his first career B1G game. We’ll see if the young QB can shake off his miscues and lead the Spartans to a thrilling road win.
