Several players on Michigan State’s 2020 football roster have flocked to the NCAA transfer portal over the past month or so. There are now a dozen players who are searching for opportunities outside East Lansing.

On Tuesday, the Detroit Free Press reported that long snapper Jude Pedrozo has entered his name in the transfer portal. He is a walk-on for the program who has played in every game over the last two seasons.

Pedrozo is the 12th player to hit the portal since Nov. 16. There’s been quite the exodus from Michigan State since the midway point of Mel Tucker’s first season with the program.

According to the Detroit Free Press, Pedrozo was on the field for 191 snaps over the last two seasons with the Spartans. This year, MSU finished with a 2-5 record, with wins over Michigan and Northwestern.

Tucker has said throughout the course of his first season that he’s looking to build a competitive roster and wants players who are willing to compete for spots. It’s also not uncommon to see players hit the portal with a new head coach in charge.
