Michigan State has received a boost to its special teams this week.
Australian punter Mark Vassett announced via Twitter on Friday morning his commitment to the Spartans, becoming the 12th prospect to verbally pledge in the 2021 class. His announcement came not long after MSU received a commitment from three-star Cleveland safety Michael Gravely Jr.
“I am extremely blessed to announce that I have accepted a full athletic scholarship offer from Michigan State University,” Vassett wrote on Twitter.

Per MLive.com, Vassett is a 6-foot-4, 23-year-old punter. He intends to enroll early as a member of the 2021 recruiting class, which would put him in East Lansing in January. Vassett is the first specialist to join Michigan State’s 2021 class.
The Spartans rank 21st nationally and ninth in the B1G.
