Michigan State linebacker Antjuan Simmons was excellent in the Spartans’ 27-24 win over Michigan, but he apparently didn’t catch the attention of Wolverines’ QB Joe Milton on film.

Milton said after the game that Simmons “wasn’t really on my radar.”

Simmons, who finished the game with 11 tackles and two pass breakups, fired back.

“I don’t really care what Joe Milton says,” Simmons responded.

Milton wasn’t terrible, but he wasn’t efficient, either. He completed 32-of-51 passes for 300 yards but didn’t record a touchdown through the air or on the ground. His 5.9 yards per attempt is far below average and looks especially pedestrian next to Rocky Lombardi’s 10.1 yards per attempt for the Spartans.

Simmons had more to say after the win, including a great new nickname for the Paul Bunyan Trophy that goes to the winner of this matchup every year.

Jim Harbaugh is now 1-6 in his career at home vs. Michigan rivals Ohio State and Michigan State.
