Barry Sanders’ son Nick Sanders makes Michigan State basketball debut in exhibition game
Barry Sanders’ son Nick is trying to make a name for himself at Michigan State.
Nick Sanders successfully walked on to the Michigan State basketball team for the 2022 season. The younger Sanders got his 1st taste of game action during an exhibition match against Grand Valley State.
His last name is Sanders, and he wears No. 20.

Sanders plays in the same state that his dad starred in, and wears the same number.
Sanders attended high school at Birmingham Detroit Country Day School before walking on at Michigan State. The Spartans have several talented guards who returned for 2022, so it is unclear how much action Sanders will see.
Regardless, seeing a “Sanders” wearing No. 20 is a cool scene for sports fans in Michigan.
