Brian Hoyer could permanently win starting job today against Colts
Brian Hoyer has played very well for the Chicago Bears this season.
That goes without question. But, could the former Spartan signal caller win the starting job over Jay Cutler due to his play? So far this season, Hoyer has completed over 69 percent of his passes, thrown four touchdowns and hasn’t tossed a single interception.
So, could Hoyer actually replace the $16 million man in Cutler (he’s making a guaranteed $16 million this season)? According to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport, all Hoyer has to do is win.
Discussed the #Bears QB situation on #NFLGameday: This is Brian Hoyer’s job to win. If he continues to thrive, he’ll start. Door is open.

Hoyer will also have many of his top pass-catchers available today, to help aid his push for the starting role long term.
#Bears pass-catchers Alshon Jeffery (knee) & Zach Miller (ribs) are good to go, but Chicago doesn’t know about Eddie Royal (calf). Game-time

Will the former Spartan win the job for the rest of 2016? It almost seems likely against a very poor Colts defense.
