Brian Hoyer has played very well for the Chicago Bears this season.

That goes without question. But, could the former Spartan signal caller win the starting job over Jay Cutler due to his play? So far this season, Hoyer has completed over 69 percent of his passes, thrown four touchdowns and hasn’t tossed a single interception.

So, could Hoyer actually replace the $16 million man in Cutler (he’s making a guaranteed $16 million this season)? According to’s Ian Rapoport, all Hoyer has to do is win.

Hoyer will also have many of his top pass-catchers available today, to help aid his push for the starting role long term.

Will the former Spartan win the job for the rest of 2016? It almost seems likely against a very poor Colts defense.
