Cassius Winston rakes in another national award after huge week
Cassius Winston is receiving all the accolades after a monster week on the hardwood.
This week, Winston has already been named the B1G Player of the Week and the Naismith Player of the Week after stellar performances in wins over Illinois and Michigan. Now, the Michigan State guard has been named the 3x3U National Championship Player of the Week.
Winston averaged 26.5 points and 7.5 assists in Michigan State’s two wins this past week. He also scored a career-high 32 points and nine assists in a win over in-state rival Michigan on Sunday.

With the two victories, Michigan State improved to 12-3 on the season and is now 4-0 in the B1G, the only undefeated team remaining in the conference. Winston is currently the team’s leading scorer and assist man, averaging 18.9 points and 6.3 assists per contest.
Michigan State will host Minnesota on Jan. 9 in East Lansing.
