Cassius Winston receives massive endorsement from Magic Johnson ahead of NBA Draft

Cassius Winston wrapped up a remarkable college career in 2020, though it was disappointing Winston did not get one last try at a national championship.
After returning for his senior season, Winston battled through heartache and another grueling B1G schedule with another strong season. He cemented his place in the conference records books as the B1G’s all-time assist leader.
Now, Winston is hoping to hear his name called early in the NBA Draft. While Winston will have to wait and see, he received a ringing endorsement from Michigan State legend and NBA Hall of Famer Magic Johnson Monday evening.
Check it out:
In this year's NBA Draft, the best leader at any position is MSU's point guard @cassiuswinston. With 18 points per game, 6 assists, and a basketball IQ off the charts, he's an ultimate winner!!

Johnson obviously knows a thing or two about running the point, so it is refreshing to see him praise Winston’s ability as he gets set to make the jump to the NBA.
Though Johnson is high on Winston’s ability, it remains to be seen if NBA teams share a similar enthusiasm. Most mock drafts currently have Winston as a late-first round or second-round selection.
This year’s NBA Draft is set for this Wednesday evening. Coverage of the draft is set to air on ESPN starting at 8 pm EST.
