Michigan State is building a second-half lead against Michigan, thanks in large part to the work of Cassius Winston and Xavier Tillman.

The All-American point guard and star forward for the Spartans have developed a great working relationship on the floor. With Winston a sharpshooter and electric distributor, the options for the duo when running the offense are endless.

Facing in-state rival Michigan for the first time this season, Winston and Tillman worked a pick-and-roll play from the top of the key. Tillman set a hard screen and then rolled to the basket with both defenders getting sucked in on Winston.

The experienced guard felt the double team coming and flipped a beautiful ally-oop to Tillman. It was perfectly timed and executed with Tillman flushing it home:

The Spartans have been up on the Wolverines for much of the game with a double-digit lead in the second half.
