Cincinnati Bengals add former Spartan LB to active roster
The Cincinnati Bengals made some roster moves ahead of their game against the New York Jets. One of the team’s moves involved the promotion of a former Michigan State player to the active roster and moving a tight end down to the practice squad.
The news was announced via Twitter on Tuesday that former Michigan State linebacker Joe Bachie was elevated to the active roster.
Roster Update: We’ve signed LB Joe Bachie to the active roster from the practice squad and restored TE Thaddeus Moss to the practice squad from the Practice Squad/Injured list.

Bachie played for the Spartans from 2016 to 2019. He had 285 total tackles, 7 sacks, and 5 interceptions during his career at Michigan State.
Bachie was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the New Orleans Saints in 2020. He also spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles before joining the Bengals for the 2021 season.
For the Bengals, Bachie has already made two appearances during the 2021 regular season. He came in during the wins over the Detroit Lions and Baltimore Ravens, having 3 solo tackles through 2 games.
