Mark Dantonio isn’t a guy that generates many headlines. He doesn’t have the brash personality that many in college football do. You won’t get much bulletin board material.

But he doesn’t lack confidence.

The Michigan State coach was asked a question in Tuesday’s press conference about the availability of RJ Williamson, who had surgery on a torn bicep in the middle of the season. Dantonio responded by saying that Michigan State’s top defensive back is close to being back, but that he’d likely return for MSU’s bowl game.

The Spartans’ first bowl game, that is.

Watch the priceless eyebrow raise from Dantonio at the end of his answer.

Dantonio, while confident, certainly isn’t overlooking Iowa. He gave the Hawkeyes plenty of praise and talked about the fact that there’s a reason they’re still unbeaten heading into Saturday.

Still, it was a nice little soundbyte from a guy that hasn’t delivered many in his time in East Lansing. There’s definitely some swagger beaming from Dantonio these days.
