ESPN's Paul Finebaum predicts major Big Ten upset
This game is going to be a late one.
In Week 1, Michigan State struggled to get past Utah State, but in the end, the Spartans moved on after their 38-31 victory. For Week 2, Michigan State gets to head out west and face Arizona State for a 10:45 p.m. kickoff.
Entering the late-night contest, Michigan State is a 5-point favorite despite the opening week struggle. Arizona State, to kick off its season, defeated the University of Texas-San Antonio 49-7. There were no issues there.
Just before ESPN’s College GameDay began on Saturday, Paul Finebaum picked the late game featured on ESPN for Week 2 and went with the upset.

The predicted outcome according to Vegas would certainly be an upset, but figuring in all the factors that are working against the Spartans — including an anticipated 100-degree temperature for kickoff — it wouldn’t be shocking to see a Michigan State loss here.
