A former Michigan State offensive lineman won’t be traveling too far to find his next home.

Friday, Justin Stevens announced with a post on Twitter that he would be committing to Central Michigan to continue his college football career. The offensive lineman makes his decision less than a week after entering his name into the NCAA transfer portal.

Stevens entered the portal following the conclusion of Michigan State’s final spring practice last Saturday. He was one of nine players to explore options outside of East Lansing since spring ball ended.

“I want to thank all the schools that have contacted me throughout this period. Nothing has ever been more clear to me,” Stevens wrote. “I will be attending Central Michigan University for the next four years, trying to achieve my goal of playing in the NFL.”

Stevens decided to enter the transfer portal after one season with the Spartans. The offensive tackle will have four years of eligibility remaining at Central Michigan after opting out of the 2020 season.
