Williams played for two seasons with the Spartans and had his best season as a freshman in 2019. He had 38 carries for 118 yards and one rushing touchdown for them before hardly playing at all this past season. Williams only had four carries for five yards in just two games in 2020.
Before committing to Michigan State, he was considered a three-star prospect on 247Sports. He was the 15th ranked player in the state of Illinois for the 2019 recruiting class and the 808th ranked player in the country.
Williams will be hoping that a fresh start will be beneficial for him as he’ll get a chance to start with the Zips. He also has multiple years of eligibility left going into the 2021 season.
