Michigan State will look to erase a 7-0 deficit in the second half of Saturday’s game against Michigan, but the Spartans must do so without star WR Felton Davis III.

Davis fell to the turf in the first half of the game on an incident that instantly did not look good. He immediately grabbed his shin and ankle area after going down without any contact. Davis had to be carted off the field afterwards.

Unfortunately, the worst fear of many was confirmed after the start of the second half. The broadcast on FOX confirmed that Davis did sustain a torn Achilles on the play, and he will be out indefinitely.

It is another tough blow for the Spartans as they continue to deal with injuries. WR Darrell Stewart Jr. is in action for MSU, but Davis was the best big-play threat for the Spartans. He provided the game-winning touchdown against Penn State last weekend.
